Article: Science Fact: Nanotech Rocket Fuel by Stephen L. Gillet, Ph.D. – I thought it was an excellent article explaining to me, the layperson, the hows and whys of rocket fuels and explosives. E.g. while solid booster rockets can’t be stopped once they have been “lit” (unlike mixtures, where they can be turned off and mission aborted), they don’t required any piping, which is added weight.
Nice quote on p.105 – “It is good to have an end to journey toward, but it is the journey that matters in the end.” ~ Ursula K. LeGuin
